Mr. Bernie Lynn Kimmons

Mr. Bernie Lynn Kimmons, aged 66, passed away peacefully at his home on April 26, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. Born in Atmore, Alabama, he spent part of his life in Flomaton before moving to Cedar Bluff, where he lived for the last twenty-five years. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bernie Baby was a man full of life and passions. He had a great love for racing, especially drag racing and motorcycles, which brought him thrills and excitement. When he wasn’t speeding down the track, you could find him fishing by the lake or out in the wood’s deer hunting. He was known for his playful spirit, always ready to prank his friends and family, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. A skilled carpenter, Bernie dedicated most of his life to crafting beautiful things with his hands. He had a sweet tooth for Little Debbie cakes, which always brought a smile to his face. Surviving scarlet fever as a child earned him the endearing nickname "Bernie Baby," a reminder of his strength and resilience. He is preceded by his parents, Charles Bud (Claudean Boutwell) Kimmons; brother, Timothy Kimmons. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Shelia Kimmons of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; son, Steven and wife Krystal Kimmons of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; daughter, Ashley Lynn and husband Joshua Pasquill of Saraland, Alabama; brothers, Charles and wife Kathy Kimmons of Pensacola, Florida, Donnie and wife Linda Kimmons of Pensacola, Florida, and Douglas and Melinda Kimmons of Andalusia of Alabama; sister, Cindy and husband Jesse of Burch of Range, Alabama; grandchildren, Mackenzie Kimmons, Izabella Odom, MaKayla Kimmons, Shelby Odom, Maleigha Kimmons, Maiya Kimmons, Eamon Pasquill, Jojo Pasquill and Charlotte Pasquill. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church with Brother Donnie Kimmons officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC. from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Steven Kimmons, Josh Pasquill, Dwayne Kimmons, Lester Kimmons, Douglas Kimmons, Justin Burch, David Jernigan and Brian McCreary
