Rev. William Ellis "Hank" Sprinkle

Rev. William Ellis “Hank Sprinkle, age 87, passed away, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at his home in Bay Minette, AL. He was born in Bayou La Batre, AL. and has lived most of his life in Bay Minette, AL. He was a tugboat captain for a number of years and a truck driver for a few years. Rev. Sprinkle served in the ministry for fifty-five plus years serving at the Church of God of Prophecy. Rev. Sprinkle valued the time he got to spend with his family. He enjoyed dog hunting and hearing a good race. He loved his dogs, Lighting, and Baby girl, as much as they did him, feeding them “oatmeal cookies”. He was a lifetime member of Rabun Sportsman Club. He also enjoyed turkey and rabbit hunting. He loved Atlanta Braves Baseball, and Alabama Football. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George (Ester Ola Cox) Sprinkle, two sisters, Myrtle Stewart, and Hilda Felix. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Marie Sprinkle, of Bay Minette, AL; one son, Thomas (Regina) Sprinkle, of Rabun, AL; three daughters, Arnita Sturgill, of Wheelwright, KY; Brenda Harris, of Bay Minette, AL; Cynthia Sprinkle, of Bay Minette, AL; one brother, David Sprinkle, of Pensacola, FL; two sisters, Rhonda Barber, of Splendora, TX; Ola (Dennis) Johnson, of Irvington, AL; twelve grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 at 12:30 PM at the Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with Rev. Alan Lord and Rev. Billy Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 from 11:30 AM until service time at 12:30 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC. Pallbearers will be Mike Irwin, Shawn Irwin, Jimmy Aldridge, Rogerdale Hadley, Jason Pierce, Sam Pierce, and Deanie Hadley. Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC. Atmore, AL. is in charge of all arrangements.
