Ms. Maggie Pearl Caraway

Maggie Pearl Caraway, 15 years old, went home to our Lord Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of April 15, 2019. She was an honor student at Escambia Academy and was elected Freshman Maid in the 2018 Homecoming celebration at the school, an honor that brought her great joy. She was born prematurely on August 23, 2003 weighing only 1 lb and 11 oz. Maggie was a fighter from the very beginning, a characteristic that endeared her to all those around her. Maggie was loved by all who knew her. She was a blessing to her family and a beautiful, gentle soul. Her legacy will be one of faith, kindness and love. She attended McCullough Christian Center. May she rest in peace in the arms of our Savior. She is preceded in death by her beloved Papa, John A. McGhee of Poarch and grandfather, Robert Dean of Mobile. She is survived by her parents, James and Kimberly Dean of Canoe, AL; mother, Shelia Marie Caraway of Poarch, AL; maternal grandmothers, Bernice McGhee of Poarch, AL and Shelvia Dean of Mobile, AL; three brothers, Jon (Malori) Dean of Atmore, AL, James A. Dean of Atmore, AL and Mason Dean of Atmore, AL; one sister, Miranda (Brandon) Hudson of Atmore, AL; one uncle, Ricky Dean of Uriah, AL; three aunts, Jena (Perry) Duke of Mobile, AL, Brenda (Michael) Johnson of Douglasville, GA and Sherry (Ken) Howell of Helena, AL; one nephew, Porter James Dean of Atmore, AL; cousins, Olivia (Tip) Morgan, Anna (Sabastian) Collette, Cooper Dean, Spivey Pickens, Nicholas Howell, Anna Dean, Jacey Duke and Sophia Howell and numerous other family members and many friends. Celebration of her life will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the McCullough Christian Center with Bro. Cornelius Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Judson Creek Indian Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at the McCullough Christian Center. Pallbearers will be Jon Dean, Mason Dean, James Dean, Nicholas Howell, Cooper Dean and Haden McGill. Honorary Pallbearer will be Mal McGhee, Ken Howell, Michael Johnson, Nathan Martin, Ricky Dean and Nelson Martin. Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC in charge of all arrangements, Atmore, Alabama.
