Mrs. Judy Marie Sanchez

Mrs. Judy Marie Sanchez, 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Atmore, Alabama, on May 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Originally from Mansfield, Louisiana, she spent most of her life in Baxley, Georgia, before moving to Atmore two years ago. Her warm spirit and the love she shared with those around her will always be remembered. She cherished her family and found joy in the adventures she shared with her family as they traveled together. Exploring new places brought excitement to her life, but nothing compared to the simple pleasures she loved at home. She had a special fondness for flowers, often tending to her garden and enjoying their beauty. In her free time, she relished riding her four-wheeler through the countryside and spending peaceful afternoons fishing by the water, embracing every moment with a smile. She also enjoyed time with her pets. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles Edwin and Sudie Lee Jordan Smith; brothers, Charles Presley Smith, Albert Paul Smith, Thomas Raymond Smith, and William Harold Smith; sisters, Annie Lee Cole, Doris Berzeler, Sammy Taylor and Wanda Jean Green. She is survived by her partner, Alan Sanchez of Baxley, Georgia; four daughters, Terri (Brian) McCreary of Atmore, Alabama, Shelia Kimmons of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, Cindy (Randall) Peebles of Bratt, Florida, and Crystal Gail (Danny) Branson of Brewton, Alabama; two sons, David Jernigan of Flomaton, Alabama and Timothy Alvin (Deloris) Jernigan of Tylertown, Mississippi; sister, Kathy Robinson of Ocala, Florida; sixteen grandchildren and forty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC with Reverend Rickey Tedder officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC. Pallbearers will be David Jernigan, Tim Jernigan, Tommy Pickern, Brad Adams, Brian McCreary, and Justin Harrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Kimmons and Brennen Jernigan Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC Atmore, Alabama is in entrusted with all arrangements
