Mrs. Ethel Mae Mouton

Ethel Mae Mouton was born March 3, 1939, to Thomas Smith and Gussie Mae Couch in Canoe, AL. She received her formal education in Pensacola FL school district, last attending Booker T. Washington High School. During this time, she met and married Euwauna Boutwell, Sr. To this union were born two children Euwauna Jr. and Cathy. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1975 and was faithful until her death. She was in full-time pioneer ministry. She found great pleasure in hospitality, serving guest speakers. She enjoyed shopping, traveling with her sister Mary, and niece Cora. She loved dining out, visiting and spending time with family. She was an emergency foster care parent, providing love and stability to many children who were in distress. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Rosavelt, Elizabeth, Mandy, Christine, Mary, Aline, brothers Wilmer, Monk, Joseph, Charlie, and Farmer. She was also preceded by grandson Bernie Sheddrick Goode, Jr. She is survived by her children Euwauna Boutwell Jr of Atmore AL, Cathy (Jeffrey) West of Warner Robins GA, Robert Mouton and Anthony Mouton of Atmore AL. She is also survived by her sister, Mamie Sanders of Selma AL and brother, Robert Johnson of TN. She is cherished by her grandchildren Xavier Story, Rashad Story, Lairtoya McNealy, Nicole West, Madonna Huertas, Tawana Boutwell, Blair Goode Jones, Bernie Quwaun Goode, and Tijon Carswell. She leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be sorely missed by her longtime friends Sister Bernice Rudolph, Sister Vivian Campbell, Sister Chandler, and Brother and Sister McMillian, her dear spiritual brothers and sisters of Atmore, East Harlem, East Stroudsburg, and Lake Placid, congregations will miss her fellowship. She will be dearly missed while taking her nap, but Jehovah will call, and she will answer (Job 14:15). She will see his promise fulfilled (John 5:25, Revelation 21:3,4) Memorial service will be held Saturday, April; 20, 2024 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Atmore, AL. at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC.
